ADMISSION NOTIFICATION -2021 

For IVC Pass-outs (Lateral Entry) into Polytechnics

Applications are invited from eligible candidates of IVC pass-outs of  Andhra Pradesh/Telangana (15% un-reserved Quota), for admission into 2nd-year Diploma (Engineering and Non-Engineering) courses of 3-year duration offered in Govt./Aided/ Private un-Aided Polytechnics including 2nd shift  Polytechnics running in Engineering colleges. 

IVC candidates who have passed two years *Intermediate (Vocational)  Course and passed in relevant bridge course with Maths, Physics and  Chemistry subjects as applicable conducted by Board of Intermediate  Education are only eligible for Lateral Entry Admissions. 

Eligible Candidates who wish to apply for Lateral Entry Admissions into 2nd-year Diploma (Engineering and Non-Engineering) courses shall submit their application through ON-LINE mode only. Counseling Fee: The Candidates of the SC/ST category have to pay Rs. 500/- While OC/BC candidates have to pay Rs. 900/- towards Counseling Fee.  Registration Fee: The Candidates have to pay Rs. 400/- towards Registration 

Tuition Fee: Tuition fee payable after allotment is Rs. 4,700 (for  Government and aided Polytechnics) and Rs.25,000 per annum (in Private unaided Polytechnics and Second Shift Engineering Colleges).The reimbursement of the Tuition fee in respect of all eligible candidates will be as per the orders issued by the Government of Andhra Pradesh from time to time. 

However, the candidates who have been allotted a seat have to pay a nonrefundable fee of Rs.800/- towards the A.P-SBTET recognition fee, Admissions fee, Syllabus Book, MIS fee & Tech Fest fee online while downloading the allotment order. The candidates have to pay the difference of tuition fees in the allotted college.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS & GUIDELINES TO CANDIDATES:  

For IVC Pass-outs (Lateral Entry) into Polytechnic Diploma Courses * * * * * 

Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for admission into 2nd-year Diploma (Engineering &Non-Engineering) courses of 3-years duration, offered at  Government/Aided/Private Polytechnics including 2nd shift Polytechnics running in  Engineering Colleges to the extent of (10%) of the sanctioned intake in each course for the academic year 2018-19. Further, in terms of Govt.Memo.No.12930/TE.II/2006-3, dt.17- 

4-2007, the unfilled seats in a course at 1st-year level during the academic year 2020-21, if any, are to be filled-in with IVC passed-out candidates through lateral entry in the 2nd year-level of the relevant Diploma courses. Intermediate (Vocational) pass-outs, having also passed in relevant Bridge courses (with Maths, Physics, and Chemistry subjects), as applicable, conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, are eligible to apply.  

Admission Officer:  

The Secretary, SBTET, A.P., Vijayawada will be the Admission officer for the  Lateral Entry Admissions of IVC Passed Out Candidates into 2nd year of Diploma courses in Engineering & Non-Engineering Branches in the Polytechnics for the academic year 2021-22.

  1. a) The candidates who passed Intermediate Vocational Course have to pass bridge course, as applicable, conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education to  become eligible for admission into 2nd year Diploma courses offered in  Polytechnics / Institutions.  
  2. b) The IVC candidates admitted into 2nd year of Diploma courses have to pass the examinations in the deficient subjects as identified and conducted by the Secretary, SBTET,A.P., Vijayawada, before entering final year of the Diploma  Course. 
  3. c) Candidates belonging to SC/ST/BC/EBC/Minority categories are eligible for  fee reimbursement subjected to fulfilment of conditions stipulated in  Memo.no.10537/SW.Edn.2./2014, Dt:03-11-2014 of Social Welfare (Edn.2)  Department. 
  4. d) In case, the income of their parents is within the prescribed limit of Rs.  2,00,000/- per annum for SC/ST, and Rs. 1,00,000/- for BC/EBC/Minority  categories and a certificate issued by the concerned Tahsildar (issued on or  after 01.01.2021 only is to be produced to that effect. The candidates so admitted with fee exemption shall apply to Government for fee reimbursement and the fee reimbursement is subject to the orders issued by the Government  from time to time. However, such candidates have to necessarily pay a non  refundable fee of Rs.800/- towards A.P-SBTET recognition fee, Admissions fee, 

Syllabus Book, MIS fee & Tech Fest fee through online while downloading  allotment order. 

  1. e) Fee reimbursement is not applicable to candidate admitted through spot  admission. 
  2. f) For IVC Admissions being made, reservations under Local Area, Community,  Special Categories such as NCC, Sports, Physically Handicapped, Women  reservations shall apply as per the Government Orders / amendments issued from time to time. Candidates have to upload the proof in support of their  claims for the above reservations at the time of Registration and the same will  be verified by the Admission Officer. Otherwise, If not uploaded, such claims  will not be considered for Admissions. 
  3. g) In respect of Private Minority Polytechnics, 50% of the seats are to be filled by  Web- Based Counseling and 50% of the seats are to be filled by the respective  Managements of Polytechnics. 
  4. h) The Last date to receive the ON-LINE Applications will be 29.05.2021 by 12.00  Mid-Night. Incomplete applications will not be considered for Admissions. 
  5. i) Registration Fee: The Candidates have to pay 400/- towards Registration  through Payment Gateway at the time of Registration.
  6. j) Counseling Fee: The Candidates of SC/ST category have to pay 500/- While OC/BC candidates have to pay Rs. 900/- towards Web based  Counselling Fee at the time of exercising options.  

Tuition Fee: Tuition fee payable after allotment is Rs. 4,700 (for Government and  aided Polytechnics) and Rs.25,000 per annum (in Private unaided Polytechnics and  Second Shift Engineering Colleges). The candidates have to pay difference of  tuition fee in the allotted college excluding non refundable fee of Rs. 800/- at  the time of reporting to the college. The reimbursement of Tuition fee in respect of  all eligible candidates will be as per the orders issued by Government of Andhra  Pradesh from time to time.

  5. r) Candidates are instructed to download the allotment order by paying a nonrefundable fee of 800/- towards A.P-SBTET recognition fee, Admissions fee,  Syllabus Book, MIS fee & Tech Fest fee online by the Payment gateway provided.
